The overall concept of Delaware Africa Caribbean Coalition started when a group of concerned men and women began to meet to explore ways of improving conditions of Africa in Diaspora residing in the state of Delaware
These visionaries included businessmen, industry leaders, community leaders and professionals
That led to the creation of DACC in January 2016 with the following agenda
To bring all Africans in Diaspora together under one umbrella towards advancing their interest in the State of Delaware and beyond
Since inception, the vision has materialized to be shared by so many members of Africa in Diaspora
Our first step towards achieving our goal involved collaborating with the state government to establish a commission for effective collaboration
The commission was created in April 2017 with the following mandates that form the core of our mission:
The premise of DACC is to empower all people of African descent in the State of Delaware and beyond through Education, Economic Development, Cultural Diversity, Social Integration, and foster both business and public relationships between our different African and Caribbean countries of birth and our State of life Delaware and beyond.
